Function
 The Agricultural and Forestry Research Center (AFRC) was established as an educational center at the time the University of Tsukuba was founded in 1973. The persistent functions of the AFRC have been to conduct a wide range of research and educational activities in areas of practical agriculture including crop production, horticultural production, animal production, forest production and agricultural machinery. Through various activities, AFRC is committed to play a significant role in creating new agricultural values that benefit all stakeholders in the world.


■ Agreement with University of Tsukuba Hospital

 As of May 8, 2006, AFRC entered into an agreement with the University of Tsukuba Hospital to supply safe and nutritious agricultural products for patient meals.
